Giving Tuesday: Project the Legacy of Los Angeles’ History

Dear Friends of the Museum,

This year brought unprecedented challenges to us here at the Los Angeles Police Museum. In June our historic building was vandalized during widespread civil unrest in our city. The impact on our facility, to the strain on our staff and resources coupled with the cost of protecting a century old building tested our resilience. Through it all out commitment to preserving the History of Los Angeles and honoring the men and woman never wavered.

This year, alongside hundreds of officers, we proudly celebrated Northeast Division’s 100 Year Anniversary. It served as a reminder to why this work matters and how deeply our shared bond and legacy runs.

On December 12th, the museum will unveil our latest addition to our collections with the unveiling of, “The Gangster Squad Experience.” This exhibit brings life to a defining era in Los Angeles policing and strengthens our mission to educate, preserve, and connect to people the stories that shaped our city.

As we look towards the future, we cannot continue our mission without your help.
